Before your first private yoga session, I will ask you to complete a questionnaire. This is your first opportunity to let me know about previous injuries, physical therapy, lifestyle, other forms of exercise you do, as well as what you hope to gain from our time together (e.g., flexibility, strength, relaxation, stress relief, or recovering from an injury). Of course, these goals can change so we will revisit them often!

During our sessions:

~ Wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and are comfortable to stretch in. You don’t need to have specific "yoga clothes.” Think comfortable but supportive.

~ Have water nearby and try not to eat a big meal shortly before your session.

~ Let go of expectations: A private session is different from group classes, so try not to compare it to what you’ve seen or experienced in group settings. This is a space for you to focus on yourself.

~ Ask questions!

~Relax and enjoy. Remember it's your time: a private yoga session is a rare opportunity to have a teacher fully dedicated to you, so relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about others or comparisons.
